Paul Thornton

Started playing the piano from as early age and although originally a keyboard player ended up playing bass one night when the bass player failed to turn up for a gig and has been playing it ever since. Played in a number of Sheffield bands over the years playing mainly original music and Bluesrock. Joined The Crashers in 2007, attracted by the set list which includes many quality songs not covered by other bands. Main music influences include Blondie, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra and The Clash. Best gig ever seen was a stunning performance by U2 in Paris 2001.
