Logosmall MEET THE
BAND

Mick 'Two sticks'

As a young lad I used to listen to music sitting in my dad's car on his old eight-track player, from Glen Campbell to the Shadows. Nowadays, we have CD players and my musical tastes have moved on too, ranging from my all-time hero, eighties synth god of pop Gary Numan to the fantastic rock sound of Saxon.

I bought my Premier kit in 1992, sorted out some lessons from a well talented rock drummer from the 70's, who is now a good mate but keeps mentioning something about royalties, aaah cheers Paul!

After teaming up with some mates; Harv on bass, Martin on lead vocals and lead guitar, Jamie on keys and vocals, and cus Steve on guitar, my first band was born 'Denium'. My musical journey had begun (I think I might write a book). With a string of gigs under our belt, work and family commitments soon retired the band. I continue my quest with other mates to form another band with little success, until front man Reg phoned me up for a rehearsal early this year. I joined The Crashers and did my first gig with them on the 21st of March 2008 in Chesterfield.

Musical preferences have to be, as I've mentioned, 'The One and Only', not Chesney Hawkes, but Gary Numan. The fantastic Queen, 'The Show Must Go On'. The quality rock sound of Saxon, Bon Jovi, The Cult, U2, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, David Bowie, Judas Priest and did I mention Gary Numan... (the band might play some for me one day) cheers lads! What ever happened to the 80's? Thanks for reading my musical biography and hope to see you at our gigs soon. Keep rocking, Mickey Two sticks.
